YAR’ADUA: THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER By Joe Igbokwe
I have been compelled to write once again on President Yar’Adua’s issue for two compelling reasons:
(1) Nobody is going to believe any story again on the health of President Yar’Adua until he makes public appearance for Nigerians to honestly and dispassionately access his condition.
(2) As it is now, Nigerians may not accept President Yar’Adua as their president if he bounces back to work because there is no guarantee that he will not fall sick again, judging from his medical history even as governor of Katsina State for 8 years, and president for nearly 3 years.
The useless liars of Nigeria tell us one cock and bull story today and tomorrow they try to manufacture other lies to continue to deceive 150 million Nigerians. Last week, the congenital liars told us that our president is incommunicado on doctor’s instruction to avoid contamination because of the nature of his illness. Yesterday, the unrepentant fools told us that his nephew who had just seen Yar’Adua said he can now eat, talk, and walk, and maybe by tomorrow, the unconscionable looters of Nigeria will tell us that he will chair the FEC meeting next week.
Under our very eyes, a cabal’s greed for power at all costs is making a mince meat of hard-earned country that took us the loss of one million souls between 1966 and1970 and more than 5000 people between 1993 and 1998 to consolidate.
I have been saying it and I will continue to say it that my worries in all this dance of shame and theatre of the absurd are the looting that has been going on since November 2009. The chairman of the newly Presidential Advisory Council (PAC) Lt Gen TY Danjuma (rtd) says Acting President Jonathan Goodluck must act decisively and quickly now to save our country. This statement is loaded because Danjuma knows that a criminal gang has taken over Nigeria for more than 3 months now, and they must be stopped by all means. Now who are the members of this gang? Some former governors, some presently serving governors, some members of FEC, some uniformed men and some members of NASS. I want to be proved wrong on this.
Now this
How long will Goodluck Jonathan continue to be the Acting President? Are we going to continue to dance naked in the market square to the amusement of the comity of nations? Don’t we have elders in this country that will say enough is enough? The Bible says woe betide a nation whose leaders are children. Case rested
