An Artiste & Her Belief
They nicknamed her the Sharon Stone of Nollywood. (Whatever that means).
Loved by many movie lovers, Eucharia Anunobi needs no other introduction
than that she is today a household name to many of her fans, admirers,
well-wishers, traducers and even to her wrong-wishers in and outside
Nollywood. She is one the names that matter in the Nollywood and no one
would count the pioneers of that sector of the entertainment industries
without mentioning Eucharia. Known for her oratorical prowess and the
near-perfect usage of the English diction, she is powerful and has
brought fame to herself and has become an inspiration to a lot of
teenagers and adults alike budding to make a name in the movie world,
such as the Nollywood?
But I would not know why some Nigerian women I held in high-esteem are
disappointing me in recent times, even though they were not in the know
that I was in love with them due to their good conducts when they
started in the service of humanity. Such women is Iyabo Obasanjo, who
unleashed unprintable insults on me through her indulgence in the many
allayed financial blunders in her exalted seat, as a senator of the
Federal Republic of Nigeria.
When this happened, I cried fowl and blue murder trying to defend myself
from my many friends who began to criticize me on hearing that my Iyabo
was into the mess of financial misappropriation knowing fully well that
I loved Iyabo so much and talked of her before them. I wrote an article,
published in our many newspapers about this titled, “Iyabo’s Love For
Shame.”
My grievances to publish that article was not that Iyabo was caught in
the web of the allegedly financial sham after all she’s a human being,
but that she began a peek-a-boo, running helter-skelter in avoidance of
the call by her father’s only security institution called the EFCC.
Iyabo waved shame aside, threw caution to the wind, and placed herself
in a ‘self-exile’ from the Senate for a good number of weeks.
During that period of financial saga, I could not defend my only Iyabo
from my numerous jealous friends. All the words in my banks of words
could not yield any profit as possible as I tried to sign my withdrawal
note and cash them. Therefore, I buried my face in shame, until Iyabo
came out from her inflicted gulag, wherever she was hiding, to answer
the call by the EFCC.
But I was smelted or melted like an iron-ore that was placed on a hearth
when the fugitive came out. I watched my Iyabo weeping like a baby
caught by her mistress on trying to deep hand into the soup-pot, wearing
obsolete kind of wrapper, perhaps to create an image in the many
onlookers that she was humble. Which she was not!
If ever Iyabo was humble, that could be when she was in the tutelage of
her mother and before she attained the doctorate degree. And how
confused she was, she is today plying every nook to re-build her-self
quashed image and reputation before the many Nigerians who had“interest” in her, like me. While against that agitation, prior advice
by many opinion writers was thrown into the abyss by the only daughter
of the Owu-generalissimo. Well, perhaps she was acting on the premise
that “what a man can do a woman can as well do.” And we have seen how
much insults these defiants in the women-folk have caused the image of
womanhood. Please extend my regards to professor Adenike Grange.
I flummoxes whenever some women exhibit pretentious habit as the most
shameful people in our world, which they are far from being. Many of
them are shameless, even with their education and pile of degrees. They
are hypocrites and vamps. They are traducers and terrorize the men’s
world with the exposition of their ‘secret’ places. Do we not know that
a woman who exposes her body before the men is a terrorist? And my
beloved Eucharia Anunobi share in that fate, as one of the women
terrorists, who terrorize men with the exposition of their secret places
of their bodies.
And my fear with all the rofo-rofo about Eucharia is that she has thrown
caution to the wind and embraces the age-long axiom: “Our fate is in
pour hands.” And truth to God, to such people like Eucharia, their fate
is in their hands to make jittery of their reputations before the public
glare and yet blink the eye, that nothing is happening. To Eucharia, her
fate is in her hand to make foolery of herself in many quarters and in
the newspapers and still stand tall and bolder to defend herself saying
that whatever she puts on as clothe, she did that from the angle as an
entertainer, nevertheless that she’s a staunch or an irrevocably
Christian.
Although, Eucharia has made us to believe that she’s just a good
Christian no matter what she puts on as clothe these days, she even told
us in those newspapers that she’s a born-again voyaging to become an
evangelist or pastor someday, whatever the case might be, after she
undergoes any school that qualifies one to be called a clergy.
With that assertion, Eucharia could already be called a pastor because
anytime one reads any of her obnoxious teachings or stance on the pages
of the newspapers about her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, one reads a
woman who has so much to talk about Christianity, but has less to show
in appearance – morally and majestically. Suffice it that Eucharia is
very far to exhibit the good characters she preaches from the bible she
reads in the real life.
The appearance of Eucharia, with her flaunting boobs, at the just
concluded “African Music Academy Award” (AMAA) in Owerri of Imo State,
has exposed her to indiscriminate ridicule in and outside the bus-stop
parliaments. Even her fellow women, as an eyesore and mindsore, have
condemned what she wore, but the loquacious Eucharia is yet to accede
and plead for forgiveness since she says she is a born-again. Rather,
she sees these people as uncivilized people and that she had her
opinion. Well, opinion is one of the dividends of democracy, but
flaunting of boobs is not one of the dividends of Christianity.
The loquacious Eucharia, as if that was not enough, went further with
her running-mouth to make feeble-at-heart Christians to believe that
even a juju-man can be a good Christian and swells practice his voodoo
if what she wore to the AMAA was done as an entertainer. Entertainer
Evangelist Eucharia Anunobi, indeed.
But one question remains for saint Eucharia, has she not read in the
bible, in the book of Matthew, where the Lord Jesus Christ admonishes
Christians that one cannot serve two masters at a time? Eucharia, you
have to chose whom you will ! Either the Nollywood or the Lord Jesus
Christ! It is not good for a beautiful lady like Eucharia to be
contradicting the belief of so many Christians who perhaps are not well
baked in the things of the bible by her infamous preachments. These
people could be misled by Eucharia’s sweet-tongue and sweet-look,
ignoring her ill-fated wears.
People like Eucharia are the people who propagated the “born-again and
churchgoer” theorem. But it is either one is a born-again (from his old
belief into the Christian faith) or one is still in his old belief but
still goes to church. To this kind of person who goes to the church
without repentance and embracement of the Lord Jesus Christ and His
doctrines, is not a Christian even though the person might attend church
services as many as he likes. The Lord Jesus Christ is not the author of
Confusion, but from the way Eucharia is going, she could be seen is an
author of confusion. Is Eucharia not carried away by fame? Just
Nollywood fame?
People like Eucharia are the people who have brought this rampaging
moral decadence in our society that the moralists are fighting lead and
sinker to quell. Her immodest fashion could be corrupting that
girl-child somewhere to tow the line of prostitution owing to the fact
that after all, auntie Eucharia was flaunting boobs and no caution was
lengthened to her, or even make that boy-child to tow the line of raping
girls just to see boobs, like that of Eucharia’s?
Eucharia could as well tell us that lesbians and pansies can be good
Christians and as well practice the shamefaced conducts that is against
humanity and God. Wahala Eucharia!
One thin I have envisaged about this Sharon Stone is that she needs
advisers, who can manage her very well without any iota of sycophancy or
praise-singing her anytime she wants to go gaga with her shamefaced kind
of clothes, but my fear is that if she would listen to them because the
devilish gods of fame has entered deeply into her head that I don’t
think she even has respect for the home she was coming from or listens
to anybody for an advice.
And it is replete among the many “Nullified-wood” ladies breakout from
their matrimonial homes. They end up in marriage ramshackle, perhaps,
because they carry the images they create in their Nollywood into their
various matrimonial homes, and which man can tolerate an insult in a
woman as a wife?
Does Eucharia not share in the fate of those Nollywood ladies whose
marriages have gone the other way round? And what could still be giving
her the audacity to be puffing instead of being quiet with her life
because a woman whose marriage is ruined should be shameful and feel
remorse except in the recent times people like Eucharia has made us
believe that breakup in marriages is also a way of life? And one wonders
what could have led to the marriage of the Sharon Stone of Nollywood
breakup! Perhaps she is not absolutely SUBMISSIVE to her husband, which
the Lord Jesus Christ taught Christian women in the bible to be. Or such
indoctrination is not attributable to “high class’ women like Eucharia?
Well, any how Eucharia wants to make us to believe that she has had a
handshake with the Lord Jesus Christ, a piece of advice here is that as
far as her estranged husband lives, she can’t marry any other man,
likewise the estranged husband marrying another woman. If they do, it is
adultery. Says the Lord Jesus Christ in the bible. Because, the rumour
making rounds today is that the beautiful Eucharia is hanging out with a
young man she now embraces as her LOVER. Nonsense!
