Kudos to Hon. Abbas Sani Abbas

I WISH to use your media, to thank my council chairman, Hon. Abbas Sani Abbas who is presently under a caretaker status for Gwale Local Government Area appointed by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano state, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau.
As an indigene of Gwale Local Government Area, I must thank him because of his short tenure in office because as a caretaker chairman of the council he has achieved a lot especially in education.

Hon. Abbas donated the sum N1,000,000 to re-construct Nana Aishatussadiq Islamiyya at ‘Yan Leda, Warure in Gwauron Dutse Ward and also donated the sum of N50,000, 20 bags of cements, 2000 pieces of blocks, 53 Real Wax to female graduates, dozens of Shadda (brocade) to male graduates and distributed one Glorious Qur’an to each graduate of Ta’alimuddeen Islamiyya at Sani Mainagge Quarters.

Hon. Abbas Sani Abbas also assisted 17 students of the council studying at the Law School with one laptop computer to each of them in order to improve their skills at the rate of N1, 400,000.00 and he is currently sponorsing the students of the council area now studying at higher institutions within and outside the state.

Furthermore, Hon. Abbas Sani Abbas has trained 300 male youth and 270 females of the council with vocational training like making soup etc. and shared some money to them in order to improve their businesses.

Due to his effort in the educational sector, he was honoured with some awards both nationally and internationally like: Fraternal Union of the Population of West Africa and CENSAD awards.

Looking at the health sector, Hon. Abbas has re-constructed some clinics in the council and treated people free of charge, constructed a chemist each in the 10 wards of the council as well as supplied drugs for the people’s health in the area and many more.

In terms of infrastructural development, Hon. Abbas is now carrying out some important projects in the council among them are; construction of road and drainage from Gwale Police Station to Dandago Sabon Titi and the construction of another road from Kwanar Gidan Kankara Sani Mainagge to Mangwarori at Warure in Gwauron Dutse Ward.

He has also constructed roads and drainages from Kofar Kabuga to Tudun Yola and from Yankifi, Gidan Sarki and Gidan Mai at Dorayi Ward all at the cost of N200, 000,000.

Hon. Abbas Sani Abbas is also re-constructing some parts of Gwale Local Government Secretariat which was recently burned in the last election of the council at the cost of over N18, 000,000.

Hon. Abbas has made efforts in the construction of pumping machines and boreholes in some wards of the local government in order to provide potable drinking water to the people.

In another development, Hon. Abbas has linked some towns and villages of the local government with electricity from Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), in order to improve their standard of living.

Apart from general assistance, Hon. Abbas Sani Abbas is always helping the needy especially those who have health problems and other important issues.

Conclusively, Hon. Abbas is about to start some important projects in the council for the benefit of the entire people living in the area like: construction of clinics, schools, mosques, drainages, feeder roads, power supply and many more.

So, due to the commendable efforts exhibited by our council chairman, Hon. Abbas, I, therefore, call the attention of the entire peoples of Gwale Local Government Area to elect this gentleman in the next coming election of the council and pray for him and his councilors to enable them move our local government forward.
