The remains of the late Nigerian Industrial titan, Rev. Cannon Johnson Olajide Fagboyegun would be laid to rest on September 6, 2008. According to the family’s spokes person, Mr. Olatunji Fagboyegun, there has not been any concrete arrangement as to when the body would be flown from London to Nigeria. He told Pointblanknews.com that the family remains grateful for the out pouring and show of support since the passing away of Rev. Fagboyegun last Wednesday.
Rev. Fagboyegun died in a London hospital on Wednesday of complications resulting from intestinal cancer. During his life time, he was reputed to be the largest private cocoa buyer in Africa. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Olawunmi Fagboyegun, an elder sister, Chief Mrs. Christiana Emilola Abitogun and many children amongst whom are Professor Mrs. Olu Olorundare, of Department of Pharmacy, University of Ilorin, Mr. Olatunji Fagboyegun, Managing Director of Jof Ideal Family Farms Ltd, Barrister Segun Fagboyegun, Pastor Rotimi Fagboyegun, Hon, Justice Olanrewaju Akeredolu of the Ondo State Judiciary, and Mrs. Lola Adekeye, Canada based Businesswoman
