YAR’ADUA IS SICK AGAIN, MAYBE FLOWN TO GERMANY …As State House Clinic Gets N10 Billion face-lift

Musa Yar'Adua

Fears continue to heighten over the capability of President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua to continue in office as he fell sick again shortly after an extra-ordinary meeting of the Federal Executive Council, FEC, on Friday.

Sources told pointblanknews.com that the president’s health condition nose-dived while at the FEC meeting. But he was said to have managed to attend the Ju’mat prayers.

Highly placed sources hinted Pointblanknews.com that shortly after the Ju’mat prayers; the President’s personal physician came with a team of other Nigerian Doctors to assess the President’s medical situation. Although, it was gathered that the prognosis was not so good the physicians were said to have withheld any opinion that might necessitate the president to be flown abroad at the moment.

According to sources, the President himself is not likely to welcome any suggestion of overseas treatment because of an alleged recent secret piece of advise from the some Judges of the Supreme Court who convinced him to do everything possible to be “physically present in the country” as a decision may soon be taken on the electoral petition from his opponents, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari.

The sources explained that President Yar’Adua may have been assured of a favorable ruling by some of the judges at the Supreme Court. And it was believed that the Judges added a footnote warning to him not to be outside the country when such important decision would be reached.

In addition, the first lady, Hajia Turai Yar’Adua was said to be unfavorably disposed to the idea of any overseas treatment at this time. Hajia Yar’Adua is said to be involved in the process of inviting the German Doctors who recently left to come back to Nigeria and take charge of the President’s treatment. A huge sum of N10 Billion about $100 Million was recently approved for a massive renovation and installation of hi-tech equipments at the State House Clinic, Asokoro Abuja.
