The former Commissioner for Utilities in Ondo State, South-West Nigeria, Mr. Boye Adegbemisoye, has landed in the Intensive Care Unit of the Obafemi Awolowo Teaching Hospital, Ile-If ȩ after being brutally attacked last week.
Mr. Adegbemisoye, who was the Commissioner for Utilities under the Olusegun Agagu administration, until the government was sacked by the Federal Court of Appeal in Benin City, is said to be in critical condition as a result of an attempt on his life by paid People’s Democratic Party (PDP) hit men.
Adegbemisoye, also a former Executive Chairman of Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government of Ondo State, was said to have suffered reprisal attack on account of attempting to ditch the Agagu camp and the PDP entirely. He was said to be on his way to declare for the newly sworn-in Labour Party administration which has just produced Dr. Rahman ’segun Mimiko as the Governor.
The paid contract killers, who were alleged to be acting on behalf of the former Governor, Dr. Olusegun Agagu, were said to have accused Mr. Adegbemisoye of “winning and dining with Agagu and now playing Judas Iscariot,” in reference to the purported move to swing loyalty to the new government of Ondo State.
Sources at OAUTH, Ile-If ȩ confirmed to pointblanknews.com that the former Agagu right-hand man is indeed on “danger list we thought of an acceptable place between, Surgical, Neuro-surgical and Intensive Care Unit.”
Boye Adegbemisoye was a well known operative for Dr. Segun Agagu in terms of international money laundry. Some Yoruba poets even chanted his disgraceful exploits in assisting the failed administration to hide its loot in secret accounts and converting same to purchasing heavy duty equipment and luxury cars.
