Gov Oyinlola hounds Balogun, AC supporter
Before the final verdict of the Appeal Court on Osun State governorship elections, Osun State Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola has turned the heat on political associates of the petitioner, Rauf Aregbesola.
Shortly before the Election Petitions Tribunal rules in favour of Oyinlola, the sitting governor, no fewer than 10 supporters of Aregbesola were killed.
Besides, hundreds of others in the wake of the mayhem were maimed, amid threats of total extermination from the governor.
One of those terribly battered by the governor’s goon is Rasheed Balogun, who spent 27 days in a private hospital, during which his life savings of over half a million Naira was expended on hospital bills.
“Before I landed in the hospital, I was beaten to a pulp, after they dealt machete cuts on me and my friends in Ilesa. I was tied to a van and dragged along while the vehicle moved.”
Balogun further explained that after he was discharged from the hospital, agents of the governor, had laid siege to his house in Ilesa, wanting to kill him in a bid to drub out any imprint of evidence in the governor’s gangster-violence.
He said that having lived in different parts of Nigeria, he noticed suspicious movements in his homes, forcing him to flee Nigeria.
Balogun now resides in Germany, where he is currently seeking asylum.
