Imoke: Stop those tongue-in-cheek statements

I was disappointed reading Governor Imoke of Cross River State in the media lamenting that Cross River State is now insolvent as a result of its ceding 76 oil-wells to the neighboring Akwa Ibom. Imoke should stop making others do his fight. He is a governor and should do and think the right things and ways.

First, he should realize that most States in Nigeria do not depend on oil for revenue generation. He once was quoted that the Tinapa alone, when functional, could generate the required revenue for Cross River State. Secondly, he should not feign ignorance of Akwa Ibom Governor Akpabio being the architect of ceding the oil wells; Akpabio had called out his citizens for thanksgiving service for God returning 186 oil wells (76 from Cross River) he claimed were wrongly denied Akwa Ibom. Thirdly, why did Imoke go to court with the aim of getting back the oil blocks to his State?

He should desist from his tongue-in-cheek talks.
