The Chairman of The Code of Conduct Tribunal, Justice Mrs. Constance Momoh may be heading for a collusion with President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua over her insistence to forcefully evict an unnamed lawyer from a property in Abuja.

According to Pointblanknews.com’s sources, the Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory was instructed to mobilize his men and officers to resist an “ultra-vies” attempt by Justice Momoh to forcefully gain entry and seize a property located at Yakubu Gowon Crescent and Jomo Kenyatta Street at Asokoro, Abuja on Wednesday.

It was said that the house allegedly purchased by one of Nigeria’s legal luminaries during the monetization exercise during the Obasanjo administration was nearly taken over by Justice Momoh who had until lately being disregarding rulings and injunctions.

Indeed she had fruitlessly told an Abuja High Court on Tuesday to throw out a suit filed by the law teacher who also doubles as a member/judge of the Code of Tribunal. It was said that paper trails showing that a 10% down payment equaling about ₦4 million was not enough to deter Justice Momoh from acting extra constitutionally by sending uniformed men to forcefully gain entry and evict the present occupant of the five bed room duplex.

Unfortunately, when the uniformed individuals sent by Justice Momoh got to the house, they were repelled by a team of stern looking Policemen who had earlier been mobilized and posted on guard duty by FCT Police Commissioner to ensure that existing injunction restraining any take over of the house was enforced.

Justice Momoh is noted for muzzling any constitutional resistance in the guise of being proactive on the bench. Her eviction of her predecessor, the former Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Sambo from another property in Asokoro allegedly contributed to the latter’s untimely death, largely because of heartbreak.
