Unfair treatment by PHCN, Kano
I want to bring it to the notice of the public, the action of PHCN in kano state.
Sabon Gari is a place where residents have gotte used to no power for upward of 1 wk or more, while some areas who bribe the managers of PHCN have uninteruppted power supply for 24hrs! Is this fair??? Are we not NIgerians??? Are we going to become refugees in our own country???
It is always said that electricity is being rationed, but in sabon Gari, in Kano, most of the residents can't remember the last time they had light!!!
I think the government is playing on the coolness of the nigerian citizens. Because we have kept quiet all this time, it has emboldened the government to rob us of our rights and even punish us on top of it.
If nothing is done about this, we the residents of sabon Gari in kano state may take to the streets. We may embark on an unprecedented demonstration that will cripple activities in Kano.
The government does not care what people spend on burning generators everyday. Most of these people are jobless and this usually leads them to doing illegal things. The government is only good at stopping the small scale illegal activities of the peasants trying to survive without alleviating the basic problems leading them into such things.
How can Sabon Gari be cut off completely from kano's power source??? Is it kind of intentional or what? Is it discrimination? Please I want the government to seriously look into this complain before it gets out of hand. The people of sabon Gari are silently grumbling, but if they are not placated, what is happening in Iran's post election may happen here in a more alarming scale. We have been pushed to the wall, but we are taking the rightful step before reacting. This message will be circulated among the inhabitants of sabon gari for record purposes. The time to act is now. Please treat us like nigerians!
