President sets for another mistake in Bauchi

I doubt the media officers to President Yar’Adua are in fact informing him of (most sincere) advices Nigerians are giving him through the media because it is understandable that most letters to him through a normal delivery may not get to his attention.

But I have my doubts otherwise the President would not be making repeated mistakes. Take for instance, when the President travelled to Zamfara to hand over PDP flag to the decamped Governor of Zamfara State, most people saw it as improper.  Improper in the sense that the President once elected remains the president for all and not to be seen as president for members of his party alone. This norm can only be varied when it is time for electioneering campaigns proper for persons seeking offices under the political party he belongs.

Therefore, for the proposed visit of President Yar’Adua to Bauchi State for the sole purpose of repeating the mistake of handing over the PDP flag to a decamped Governor (Yuguda) could be seen as an avoidable mistake.  More so, many people would see it a further misdemeanor for the fact that he, not too long ago, betrothed one of his daughters to the same Governor.

Mr. President, it will be better if you save your office any further condemnation. Please send a strong team headed by your party’s national Chairman to handle the ceremonial handing over of the flag to Governor Yuguda.
