Umar Ibn Yar’adua in his true Colour.
Next time somebody curses you and calls you as callous as Sheik Umaru Yar’adua please take that person to court straight away. That is the greatest insult of all times. Now we know where Dr Sam Egwu learnt the trade of his insensitivity from. I hope that by the time Umoru will be coming back from Brazil, he would be coming back as ordinary citizen Umoru. I am expecting the National Assembly to impeach him before he comes back no more any less.
If that is not the high point of insensitivity, what would ever cross the mind of a reasonable person nay “leader” that while half of the country he is suppose to preside over is on fire, the best sympathy he can have for the Nigerian soldiers and police men killed by “boko haram” is to jet out to Brazil to watch Samba girls dance. I hear that the boko haram leader drives a Mercedes Benz ‘E’ class, and has assorted types of mobile phones and in fact has computers to browse internet! That is “boko haram” for you. Fortunately for him too, he is a graduate but boko is haram indeed!
I remember growing up in Bauchi when we use to sing “Iyan makaranta bokoko, babu karatu ba sallah sai yawan zagin mallam” literally it means western education school children, we do not read the Quran or pray, but only swear at the Islamic teacher all the time.
But what has entered the head of Umoru? Is he justifying the title serpent leader given to him by the press? What manner of man will leave his house on fire to attend a samba carnival in Brazil? He is simply brightening the chances of his opponents in the 2011 presidential election that is if his PDP makes the mistake of fielding him. I mean Bauchi is on fire; Borno is on fire and has been turned upside down! “Kazalika” Kano, Yobe, Kaduna, Sokoto and even his home state Katsina is boiling and he claims to be the president of Nigeria has the gut to jet out to Brazil? The National Assembly is actually a dead house, is it David Mark, and is it Dimeji Bankole? Or who is there any way? May be, well after 2011 election when we would have elected serious minded and or nationalist law makers who know their onions. Probably purpose leaders would have mounted the saddle that cogent blue print to move Nigeria forward.
Umaru for now enjoy your remaining 18 months in Aso Rock Villa while Turai makes her billions. Last week Turai made Ten billion Naira in one day.
The insensitivity of Umoru knows no bound, he should have know that it was Rilwanu Lukman who caused the price of crude petrol to crash to 11 US dollars in 1991 just before the first gulf war windfall. How can a sensible person think of locating the Petroleum University in Kaduna at this age and time? Just image or contemplate locating a Desert University in Yenogoa or Calabar. People like Rilwanu Lukman should be sensible in their behavior and actions. They should be guided by the principle which says “Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you!” I rest my case.
