Dear Editor,
On Ikedi Ohakim and Orji Kalu
It is disheartening to see how people could remain opportunists for life. I refer to those governors, senators, members of federal and state legislative houses, councilors and even party executives that changed their party platforms. They do this shamelessly with ease and have no good consciences. I say to them “you are worse than prostitutes and should feel ashamed of yourselves”.
Recently, Governor Ikedi Okahim of Imo state, who without any cogent reason, dumped a party that gave him peace of mind and the limelight; he now pitched tent (again) with those he once called ‘frustrated money-bags in PDP’. I want to tell him that he is just like a thief sent to steal something belonging to another. It means that Obasanjo was right when he said that “Ohakim recent action is a promise fulfilled”.
Imo people definitely did not vote for the little-known Ohakim but PPA and therefore he (Ohakim) lacks morals to still remain on seat as governor; but for the assumed fact that our judiciary or laws relating to his action remaining an ass. Ohakim further behaved childishly by reporting to the Presidency, the Police and the SSS that Orji Kalu was after his life, not before decamping but because he decamped. Kalu has refuted the allegation.
I am not holding brief for Orji Kalu but wish to say that politicians in the form of Ohakim, including the present PDP national Chairman, Mr. Vincent Ogbulafor who decamped from ANPP to PDP after he was soundly defeated by Orji Kalu in one of the past governorship elections; should bury their heads in shame. They are not worthy and the electorate should take note of such selfish politicians who are not out for the masses’ interest.
