Sir,

Time to remove Ogbulafor as PDP Chairman

I am a card-carrying member of PDP and what is happening around the country with our great party, if not checked, could lead us to disaster come 2011.

Almost all the State PDP Excos are troubled due to actions and inactions of our National Chairman Prince Ogbulafor and I feel we should start investigating if he is not an agent of instability from ANPP to PDP, in which case he should be stopped.

Even in his Abia State, he has not been able to stabilize the Party, himself being part of the confusion, let alone handling other States like Anambra, Plateau, Zamfara, Ogun, Enugu, Imo, etc.

In Anambra: He has allowed perpetual disorder and has recently risen against peaceful decisions of founders and top PDP members. In Plateau, he has gone against wishes of the majority and caused problem with his divide and rule system. In Imo, he single-handedly dissolved the party exco, thereby causing further confusion.  Akwa Ibom where he was reportedly given N10billion electrification job has seen him taking side with the vocal minority and ignoring the silent majority. In Zamfara, the INEC has faulted his right to dissolve the existing Party Exco. One can talk endlessly as almost all States’ PDP are not in ‘perfect’ peace.

So many corrupt practices have been leveled against Ogbulafor and for President Yar’Adua especially, to continue keeping quiet, a wrong signal is confirming what Hillary Clinton said about Nigeria. It is either Ogbulafor does not have what it takes to chair this great party or that he is just after his selfish motives and therefore well-meaning party members should consider him an agent of instability. He could be an unknown spoiler.
