Dear Editor,
Candidate Peter Obi no more the issue
I believe by now, governor Peter Obi knows that his quest for second term as a governor is no more feasible. No amount of intrigue or advertisements of those projects executed (or/and some by earlier governments) which he now claims, would assure him of return ticket under APGA. His wife had also asked him to avoid the second term pursuit.
To start with, the Okorie-led APGA is the one recognized by INEC that is the final arbiter for any election in Nigeria; Obi is of the Umeh-led.
Secondly, while the confusion continued, the picture I saw of Emeka Ojukwu and Emeka Etiaba on the front page of Daily Independent newspaper of Monday August 24, 2009 with the caption….. “All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) member, Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (left), and the party’s Anambra Governership aspirant, Emeka Etiaba, at a rally in Awka…at the weekend”…., says it all.
Thirdly, Obi would not find platform in either the confused PDP or/and the fortune-dwindling PPA; never.
Therefore Peter Obi is no more the issue as he may have been out of the game.
