El-Rufai vs Yar'Adua: Dog eat Dog 

Definitely, President Yar’Adua is not taking it kindly the revelations coming from his former close pal and erstwhile FCT Minister el-Rufai. At earlier stage of spilling the beans, El-Rufai maintained that it is Turai who runs the government for Umaru just as it was during Yar’Adua’s reign as the governor of Katsina State. El-Rufai also revealed how Umaru Yar’Adua’s name was removed from the EFCC corrupt governors’ list then; it was preparatory of bequeathing him to Nigeria. Obasanjo had thought that the man would be a mere push-around, doing his (Obasanjo’s) bidding anytime, any day.

El-Rufai’s revelations continued with that the former governor Ibori was used by Obasanjo as a major financier of Yar’Adua’s 2007 presidential campaign. Ibori is still very much around and working for the presidency while at the same time being under EFCC investigation.   

Whatever the grouse of El-Rufai is, the federal government has urged him to come out of his closet as a fugitive and return to Nigeria to answer charges against him. This is what is called “dog-eat-dog”. I believe the masses are enjoying the show.
