Dear Editor,
Deceitful 'prayerful' Chief Executives
Cecilia Ibru, the detained former Oceanic Bank Chief Executive, is a known Mountain of Fire and Miracle Church elder. People who know her can confirm that she is endowed with prayer prowess. Mr. Erastus Akingbola, the runaway former Chief Executive of Intercontinental Bank, is said to be a Christian prayer warrior who has also impacted on many people.
If with all the endowments, we are now discovering that they are involved in wrecking the banking sector in Nigeria, many would start having a rethink on any person said to be a devoted man or woman of God. It beats me that Cecilia could be accused of using fronts for probable misappropriation of over N15billion of shareholders’ fund. The public awaits revelation on the rest bank executives.
This now brings one to when the bell would toll for some people in power, especially sitting governors, who are very much in the corridors of power receiving anointing and keys for second term from their co-travelers, bishops, imams, spiritualists, and cult groups. In most cases the anointing is given in exchange for jeeps, cash and including provision of amenities. I do not see sincerity or salvation is any bought anointing. To people involved so, their days of reckoning would come like those of Cecilia and her ilk. All the money they are busy misappropriating now that have brought untold hardships to citizenry leading to loss of lives and businesses; they surely would account.
