On Ibori, Yar'Adua & Corruption

Chief James Ibori is a man against himself. While Ribadu responded to the facts raised in Ibori’s press conference, Ibori is busy trying to drag Yar’Adua and others into the case of looting public funds prefered against him. He has never answered any question concerning how he amassed stupendous, God forsaken wealth and became the subject of money laundering investigations in London and US. How on earth can a man use $15million of his personal money and lodge at the Central Bank only because he wants to implicate ’superhuman’ Ibori. I expected Ibori to hide his face in shame or call for an independent enquiry to ascertain the facts. Ibori also goofed by his assertion that Ribadu is fabricating allegations together with the Metropolitan Police to nail him in London. Anybody that lives in Britain knows that London is not Nigeria. There is no chief Ibori in the British investigative process, not to talk of following Ribadu’s scripts. If he is above the law in Nigeria, he is not in Britain.

We are not new to the antics of drawing other people/President Yar’Adua into the issue to beg sympathy or escape justice. Does Ibori think Yar’Adua’s loot protection government is popular. It is indeed disgusting to see these calibre of people govern a state in Nigeria.

The quality (or lack of it) of Ibori’s statements are similar to a history student answering an exam question by saying ‘Aristotle otherwise known as Socrates’ bla..bla..bla..
