Obama and the Nobel price
Yes. Obama deserves the Nobel Peace price. Before the Republicans destroy his personality through negative campaigns, smear tactics etc. Here is a man that contested election as a minority (without experience, name, clout, resources), yet he was able to mobilise all manner of americans and break all barriers in a landslide. The Nobel committee perhaps did not want to infuse politics or inflame hatred by claiming it is a peace prize (there is no other way to label the price in their archives)
Before he took office Mr Obama moved quickly to repair the damage occassioned by fierce campaign between him and former Senator Clinton, her family and supporters. The same after the elections with Senator McCain. Obama leaves no one in doubt that he is for world peace; a message he carried as far as Cairo. By awarding this price to him the Nobel committee is giving a silent message/inspiration to minorities all over the world to work harder in a peaceful way to resolve conflicts and inspire their followers to apply diplomacy and the language of peace.
This price is in recorgnition of the oustanding achievements of this parentless african american whose message, oratory, wisdom and composure continues to hold even his critics in awe. His achievements must be considered against more than two years since he declared for Americas highest office, not within 9months in office. Some people have won this price outside political office. Congrats Obama, congrats Nobel committee!
