Sir,
Elections: PPA, AC looking good South-East, South-West
With the spate of problems plaguing the PDP in recent time, PPA is most likely to make in road and should be rooted properly almost in all the States in the South-East; provided it gets its act properly in order. It can even expand its horizon to neighbouring Akwa Ibom Sate in the South-South. Similarly AC would be rooted more in the South-West, retaining Lagos State and capturing Ogun, Ekiti and Oyo when the elections come.
The prompting of the projected feats of both parties (PPA and AC) in the respective zones largely would be as a result of the resilience of the state governors of Lagos, Edo and Abia in making best use of the resources within their reach. The governors respectively have remained good ambassadors of their States and Political Parties. It will also be partly as a result of squabbles in PDP-controlled States in the zones under reference. Nigerians are becoming very much aware of their rights and with the subsequent electoral improvements as expected; people now tend to ensure that their votes would count to the logical end.
It is hoped that baring any intervening situation, which largely would depend on the government at the centre, Nigerians are now more ready to grow their democracy.
