Bode George: PDP comments, disappointing
In The Nation newspaper October 27, 2009 was quotes: “The verdict was hard” – PDP South-West Chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipupo. “The sentence was too punitive” – Dr. Wale Ahmed, Lagos State PDP spokesman. “The sentence was not commensurate with the offence” – Joe Igbokwe, the Lagos State AC spokesman.
Above were the statements of the PDP and AC parties since their mouthpieces were the commentators. For PDP’s commentators to include its South-West Chairman, shows that those utterances were official stand of the party. I exclaimed the PDP pronouncements but a friend by my side retorted to ask why I expressed shock. PDP does not see corruption as anything to worry about because their elected and appointed officials are more into it, he tried to remind me.
If PDP is of the contrary opinion, let it be made known otherwise the masses have labeled it as said.
