LP wins Ondo reps re-run
Mr Debo Ologunagba, the Labour Party candidate in the re-run election into the House of Representatives for Akoko South West and Akoko South East Federal Constituency has been declared winner.
The INEC returning officer for the Federal Constituency Mr. S. O. Ojo made the announcement yesterday after collation of votes from the two local governments making up the federal constituency.
Mr Ologunagba, a lawyer had 18,155 votes out of the 32,750 total valid votes cast. The Peoples Democratic Party candidate had 9,690 votes; the Democratic Peoples Party has 8, All Nigerian Peoples Party 21, Alliance for Democracy 730 while the Action Congress polled 3,876. A total of 4, 093 votes were rejected for one reason or the other out of the 36,843 votes cast across the two Local Government Areas.
