Turai Yar'Adua set to return from Saudi Arabia

Turai, wife of Nigeria’s ailing President, Umaru Yar’Adua,  is set to return to the country after spending sleepless nights by her husband’s side in a Saudi Hospital. 

Turai is not happy with those calling on her husband to throw in the towel, so those loyal to her cause have asked her to return and shoot down any attempt to push her husband aside. 

Even though, doctors in Saudi, Germany and the United States are skeptical about the President’s ability to continue in office, Turai, some Governors and ministers are insisting some interest have to be protected.  

Pointblanknews learnt that her sudden return trip is not unconnected with her resolve to prevail on family members and chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to give her sick spouse the benefit of the doubt. 

Turai, alongside some key government functionaries are insisting that if Yar’Adua should step aside several interests would be affected adversely. Some key members from the north are not comfortable with the eventual emergence of VP, Jonathan Goodluck, while others fear if the President steps aside the zoning formula would be in tatters.  

Pointblanknews learnt that Tura’s hard stance has put her on war path with some members of the Yar’Adua family, who view her insistence as simply selfish. 

They are frustrated however because, aside from Nigeria’s Ambasador to Saudi, Turai is the only one who is allowed to see the President.  

It was gathered that Turai who leads the YarAdua family flank insisting he continues, even he has to do it from his sick bed, is scheduled to meet with some members of her husband’s kitchen cabinet, Governors, and ministers.
