Dear Sir,
Soludo's Campaign faulty start
We have all read how Professor Chuma Soludo kicked off with his campaign for the Anambra Government House in Onitsha, first week in December 2009. It was preceded with fantastic newspaper advertisement that showed that under the professor, Anambra would look work like a State in United States of America. Some Nigerians branded the advertisement as wishful thinking and a deceit coming from an intellectual of Soludo’s standing.
To start with, the campaign kick-off was avoided by (the) who-is-who and all the four sitting governors in the campaign squad, signifying that they knew what was the (court) order on ground. The only visible person at the campaign ground was Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, the embattled PDP National Chairman, who many say is leading a Political Party that does not believe in the rule of law; otherwise.
Now that it is looking very likely Soludo may not have the much needed chance, the Ogbulafor-led PDP is said to be positioning Dr. Andy Uba in a way to allow him decamp after to PDP. It is one of the game plans that Andy Uba should contest on the platform of CDC, after he was rejected by the LP.
To my brother Professor Soludo; he should have taken it easy the way he went on as if he was the only non-charlatan of all the lot that tried contesting the PDP primary. That we do not want the Uba dynasty as represented by Chris and Andy does not mean that Soludo should not have tried to be humble the way he carried on. He was too elitist and feels much superior to other persons and his co-contestants.
I believe it is the prayer of every Anambra person that at the end, God in His infinite mercies and as a prediction would throw up someone, not necessarily among the present noise-makers, in liberation and restoration of Anambra. We sincerely need such situation
