Dear Sir,

Anambra 2010: Whither the compromise candidate?

Ndi Anambra should be very vigilant and ensure that they elect the right governor this time around so as to bring back the peace, tranquility and security that have been eluding the State for some years now. We need peace; and all we need for this is a peaceful leader.

Let us look through the periscope :  One sees the re-entry into the race by Andy Uba through a little-known Labour Party a cause for alarm as it is now evident that the Ubas are trying to create a bad dynasty in Anambra State through the help of former President Obasanjo. One sees the continuation of Peter Obi in office as a sign that Anambra would continue in the insecurity that has continued to grow in the State. One sees Chris Ngige coming back as a sign that Anambra may return to theatre of war because his antagonists (Ubas and PDP) would not allow Ndi Anambra to be in peace as these antagonists would continue in their old habits. One sees that allowing Chuma Soludo would mean entrenching disobedience to rule of law and disrespect to Ndi Anambra as he talks arrogantly, too elitist and furthermore we would neither for now cope with his kind of unattainable “African Dubai Taiwan” as Dubai and Taiwan are embodiments of crashing and counterfeiting economy, respectively. One sees Anambra traditionally not allowing an elected woman governor for now.

Then what does Ndi Anambra need : She needs a leader that is not controversial; who God would use to start Anambra again. Anambra is cradle of Igbo and furthermore we should not forget that; “Ndi Anambra ka eji ama atu. Ka Chukwu mezie okwu-a”.
