Anambra 2010: Soludo’s Fraudulent Opinion Poll

One views with shock media reports of a survey orchestrated by Professor Charles Soludo and his hireling, Jideofor Adibe which from all indications portrays a desperado intent in occupying Government House, Awka by hook or crook.
This bogus ’Opinion Poll’ reveals the unscrupulous, scheming Prof Soludo who manipulated PDP’s constitution to emerge as its flag bearer in the February 6, 2010 elections, a broad day light robbery despicably executed.
By introducing a bogus and self conceptualized ‘Opinion Poll’ declaring himself the “best” candidate to beat, Prof Soludo prepares again to pull the wool over the eyes of Anambrarians.
Opinion Polls being a scientifically-based survey, we invite Prof. Charles Soludo and Adibe fabricators of the survey to publish the methods and techniques used in arriving at their findings.
Soludo’s Polls, as widely published in local newspapers, beyond emphasizing the fact that Soludo topped in all categories was woefully deficient in comprehensive analysis of participant data, demographic information like age, sex which casts a question mark on its scientific validity.
The fiction in Soludo’s Polls became apparent by the conspicuous absence of error margin in a supposed statistical survey. The importance of the +/-5% error margin in data computation can never be downplayed in a survey such as this. So what is the error margin for this survey?
Other interesting questions Prof. Soludo would have done well to answer includes how the questions were worded and in what order they were asked. What number and form of alternative answers were offered?
What is the demographics of the population of interest? Is this survey based on whomever wishes to participate, or a scientific sample of the population?
However, having carefully perused the widely reported opinion poll by www.hollerafrica.com, we are forced to come to the sad conclusion that it was deliberately engineered by an unscrupulous pollster in order to generate a certain result and generate a pre-determined outcome which would earn them their fees from an equally unscrupulous politician, Prof. Soludo We know for certain that Adonis and Abbey Publishers Limited, the parent company of hollerafrica is a London-based street-side publisher, ghost writer and advertisement soliciting agent.
Hollerafrica which conducted the survey describes itself as a “public relations and image management for public figures, organisations, and institutions, including for specific products.
“Our services here include projecting favourable images of clients or their products in defined markets using a combination of strategies. Costs are competitive and will mostly depend on services required and the duration of the campaign’’.
The chief executive of both organization, a certain Jideofor Adibe, is a scurrilous bark dog of Governor Peter Obi who must have shifted alliances to Prof. Soludo for a better fees no doubt.
Mr. Adibe dedicates his online activities to biased and libelous attacks on the person of Dr. Chris Ngige, the Action Congress (AC) gubernatorial candidate. We are therefore not surprised at his latest antics.
Our shock is that the eminent professor of Econometrics, Charles
Soludo has stooped so low in his bid to realize a naked and vaulting ambition. It calls to mind the underhand method he employed to emerge as the PDP’s governorship candidate which split the party into splinters
It is now certain that Prof. Soludo is gradually revealing the other half of his personality, the Mr. Hyde aspect.
When the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Malam Lamido Sanusi began to uncover the rot, and quaqmire Prof. Soludo was leading Nigeria’s banking sector and economy into, many doubted such disclosures, they were too scary to believe, but now Nigerians would know better.
By lending himself to the subterfuges and intrigues which flouted PDP’s constitution to ensure his emergence, and by paying for such dubious opinion polls which he is using some gullible elements in the media to promote, Prof. Soludo shows how far he is willing to go to satisfy his selfish ambition. Anambrarians are watching and waiting.
Gallup Polls to ensure independence and objectivity is neither paid for nor sponsored in any way, and its results are analytical and scientific, a feat which has earned it respect and kudos in over 140 countries where it measures and tracks public attitudes and concerns on virtually every political, economic and social issues of the day. It is disheartening that Nigeria’s former Governor of the Central Bank (CBN) is attempting to debase opinion polls.
