Anambra 2010: The last may be the first
We Christians could remember the story of David in the holy Bible. It was in the process of revealing who the next King of Israel would be. And the lot fell on the house of Jesse and when Prophet Samuel got to the house of Jesse, he announced to them that God has promised that the next King was there. All the children of Jesse were summoned and out of the lot none that were presented was seen as the anointed.
The prophet asked if all present the only members of the family were. The answer was that the youngest is the field seeing to the wellbeing of the flock. And behold he was the one that the lot fell on and he was fetched and prophetic hand with blessings and ordination was placed on him to his amazement. He was in a hurry to go back to the field to continue his activity as Sheppard to the flock. And David ruled well and brought peace that lasted to Israel throughout his reign.
This scenario seems to be playing out as regards the Anambra 2010 gubernatorial elections. From the prophetic pronouncements of Primate Olabayo and Prophet Ayodele recently, in the media, the first may not be the first; it could be the question of the last being the first. All Anambra needs is peace and peace cannot be gotten if any of the vocal few in the race for the Anambra government house emerges the winner. There should be a comprise candidate that should usher in peace to Anambra again. It is the prayer of the majority.
