FEC stands down motion to declare Yar'Adua unfit
The Federal Executive Council, FEC, stood down a motion moved by Foreign Affairs Minister, Ojo Maduekwe seeking to declare President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, sick, incapacitated and unfit to continue as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Rather, the body, all appointees of the sick President nominated five ministers to visit President Yar'Adua in Saudi Arabia. The purpose of the visit is not yet known as at press time.
The ministers scheduled to visit Yar'Adua includes: Minister for Petroleum, Rilwan Lukman, Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Prince Kayode Adetokunboh, Secretary to the Government, Ahmed Yayale, Agric Minister, Sayaad Abba Ruma and Foreign Affairs Minister, Ojo Maduekwe.
