Confusion is currently raging in Nigeria’s capital city Abuja sequel to the sudden return of sick President Umaru Yar’Adua, just as the National Assembly said it still recognizes Goodluck Jonathan as Acting President. Chairman, Rules and Business, Ita Enang made this pronouncement one hour ago in Abuja.

Pointblanknews.com learnt in the last hour that a curious meeting between Acting President, Goodluck Jonathan and Turai may be underway. The agenda of the meeting was not known at press time, but Information minister, Dora Akunyili who confirmed the development could not explain why Jonathan has to meet with Turai.

Sources at the Presidential Villa told pointblank news that Yar’Adua has been shielded from ministers, and other functionaries. And just like in Saudi Arabia, only Turai CSO, Yusuf Tilde, and ADC, Mustapha Onoedieva have access to him.

As at press time, Jonathan is yet to set eyes on his terminally ill boss. He is believed to be wired up some where in the Villa Clinic, as he can neither speak coherently or eat without support from the medical team.

Although spokesman, Segun Adeniyi said this morning that Jonathan would still run the affairs of state while his boss recuperates, sources hinted that the kitchen cabinet and Turai, are not disposed to Jonathan.

The Save Nigeria Group (SNG) has among others called for the invocation of section 144, since according to the group, there is no hope Yar’Adua can function.

Meanwhile pointblanknews.com sources say demoted Michael Aondoakaa is on his way back to Abuja. He has been away since he was moved to the special duties ministry.
