Jonathan sacks National Security Adviser... Gen. Gusau takes over
Acting President, Goodluck Jonathan has removed the National Security Adviser (NSA), he inherited , Gen. Sarki Muktar.
The sack which was announced in Abuja tuesday evening takes immediate effect.
He was replaced by Gen. Aliyu Gusau. Gusau was security adviser to ex president, Oluseguin Obasanjo, and had hitherto been touted as the north's preference for Vice President.
Pointblanknews.com learnt that his sack may not be unconnected with Muktar's sloppy handling of matters during the illegal deployment of troops in Abuja when sick President Umaru Yar' Adua was brought back from Saudi Arabia.
Muktar, Commander Brigade of Guards, and the Chief Of Army of Staff, got their reputation tarred by the development, and also put a question mark on their loyalty.
We will bring you details later.
