NIGERIAN PASTOR DUPES U.S WORSHIPPERS OF $50,000 …FAKES HUSBAND’S DEATH

Pastor Glory O. Franklin |
As the saying goes Lagos is the place for learning hard lessons while Abuja is the base of bread (Money). Now some people in Abuja do not only pursue bread, they make people to learn the hard way. Consider the true tale of a well known Abuja woman of God, Pastor Glory O. Franklin who recently came to the United States to Minister to the faithful and ended up swindling them over $50,000.00.
When Pastor Glory of Kares Ministries For All Nations, an Abuja based Christian organization went to the United States Embassy in Nigeria to secure a Visa, she told the consular officer that she needed a visa to come to the United States in order to share the word of God with Christian faithful. She lied. Her real intention was to deceive, extort and possibly render those who worship in truth and in spirit penniless.
Once Pastor Glory was granted entry to the United States she decided to feign her husband’s death. Sources told pointblanknews.com that she blended with the congregation at New Life Covenant Center and secured the confidence of everyone including the Pastor.
New Life Christian Center located on 224 Street; White plains Road is Pentecostal church with memberships drawn from the Caribbean’s and African community in the Bronx, New York. They are very receptive towards visiting Pastors and so, in May 2007, when Pastor Franklin came, they warmly welcomed her and gave her the pulpit to preach. She went from one church to the other and unknown to many who had listened to her, this Nigerian Pastor had a different plan in mind. She needed some quick bucks, the offerings were not rolling in as expected and she needed to go back home and show her Nigerian colleagues how rewarding it is to preach in America.
One Sunday morning in May, 2007, Pastor Glory mounted the pulpit at 224 Street Church, but instead of preaching, she broke in tears, announcing the sudden passing away of her husband in Nigeria. She told the sympathizing congregation that she needed to go back to Nigeria to carry out the burial of her husband. She was also quick to announce how broke she was. As expected, members responded by giving handsomely. Some made pledges and the leaders of the church quickly gathered to find ways and means of raising enough cash. Friends and well wisher outside the church and members from other churches where she had preached gave donations. Pastor Franklin must have smiled to her on well executed prank. She had over $50,000.00. She wasted no time heading back to Nigeria.
After she got to Nigeria, friends and sympathizers in the United States decided to further touch base with her to see how she was coping with sad situation. As Mr. Hyginus, a Caribbean and one of the members of the church puts it: “we were shocked by what we heard. Someone who picked up the phone said she has just gone out with her husband. We pressed him further to be sure and he insisted that nobody died and that the pastor’s husband was fine.”
Another worshiper at the Church, a Nigerian, Ms. Amaka Amos said “she brought shame on us Nigerians in this church. We were shocked to hear what she did. Now everyone sees all Nigerians as dubious people.”

Pastor's Business Card |
The Pastor of the church told pointblanknews.com that “I do not want to comment of that issue. I leave it to God to decide.” He preferred not to be mentioned in this report.
Apparently fulfilled with her exploit, the pastor had gone out with her husband to enjoy her booty and has stopped taking phone calls from her U.S contacts.
Pointblanknews.com spoke with her former host family at 475 Ocean Avenue Brooklyn, New York which she also use as her U.S contact address, Mrs. Chikoka her main host said:
“I don’t know if it is true or not. Since she left here, I have not been able to talk her but you know when people come here, they come with all kind of stories. People have not been able to reach her since she left.”
“I also do not know if her husband was dead or not even though she said so, I have not been able to confirm since she left,” Chikoka, a long time friend of Pastor Franklin said.
Pointblanknews.com tried to speak with Pastor Franklin through her Abuja church address at No. 1 Dutse Alhaji Zone 1 along Bwari Road FCT, Abuja, without success. Her phone number: 080 35689621 was called repeatedly but she never answered.
