REP MEMBER IN CERTIFICATE SCANDAL! ...Hired mercenary to write WAEC Exams

Agboola Alfred Ajayi

A member of the House of Representatives, Agboola Alfred Ajayi, (PDP, Ilaje Ese-Odo), Ondo State, may have a hell of an explanation to make at the election tribunal, as he is being accused of hiring a 'mercenary' to write his senior school certificate examination for him.

According to the petition filled by the plaintiff, Olubukunola Ebietomiye of the Democratic peoples Alliance (DPA), one Ajayi Alfred Agboola was the impostor who wrote the examination for the congressman in June 2004 at the Mobolorunduro High School.

It is pertinent to state that while the congressman's name is AGBOOLA ALFRED AJAYI, the other fellow is AJAYI ALFRED AGBOOLA. Ebietomiye's counsels also alleged that while the lawmaker gave his date of birth in INEC's form CF001as September, 24, 1968, the date on the certificate is December, 8, 1980.

They also said that in sworn affidavit the congressman changed the date of birth from 1968 to 1980. The petitioner, who made available copies of the contentious certificate (NGWASSCS5529745) to pointblanknews.com, alleged that they also found out that the congressman attended Methodist primary School, Kiribo between 1979 and 1985.

They then queried that how come the person who wrote the exams in 2004 was 5 in 1985. The petitioners also told the tribunal that aside from the fact that external candidates don’t sit for the May/June SSCE exams, as at the time of the exams the congressman was the chairman of Ese-Odo local government.

Sources told Pointblanknews.com that Agboola Ajayi was a student of Methodist Primary School in the former Ilaje Ese-Odo Local government area of Ondo State.

He proceeded to the Community High School Kiribo in 1981 as a student but could not complete his studies due to the closure of Community High School Kiribo in 1985/86 sessions after the military coup that brought Babangida to power.

A merger of the secondary school in the Ilaje Ese-Odo area put Hon. Agboola Ajayi in Community Comprehensive High School, Sabomi about 10 kilometers from Kiribo, his hometown.

Honorable Agboola Alfred Ajayi is currently a member of the National Assembly and heads the committee on the Niger Delta Development Commission.
