POINTBLANKNEWS.COM AT ONE: THE JOURNEY SO FAR

In April 2007, we decided to add to the growing need for an alternative media, and Pointblanknews.com, an online News Magazine designed as a premier news and current affairs resource center was born . Our intention was to help in refocusing the drifting ship called Nigeria through balanced and investigative news reporting.

In the last one year, we have lived up to our mission and vision with readership all over the world at the expense of stepping on toes and treading on the murky waters of Nigerian political reporting.

In the course of the task before us, we have received commendations from those who believe in our course and condemnation from those who feel they have been unduly exposed through our style of reporting.

While we appreciate everyone, we want to assure that we are not out to witch-hunt or blackmail individuals or corporate bodies as we hold tenaciously to our mission, vision and the journalism ethic of balanced reporting.

As we celebrate this glorious One Year in the business of Investigative Journalism and News Reporting, we are promising to remain resolute, focused, determined and guided by our professional ethics and the need to champion a genuine democracy for the Nigerian people.

In the years to come, it is our intention to expand and build upon the goodwill we have enjoyed over the period of our existence and provide a much solid platform for information gathering and dissemination.
