PRESS RELEASE
The Political Jobbers in CNPP
The National Chairman of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties, CNPP, Alhaji Balarabe Musa has expressed his great displeasure to the activities of some impostors and fake politicians parading themselves as CNPP Leaders in the southwest and has therefore directed that I, the chairman of CNPP in Lagos State, Chief Kunle Adeyoyin issue a disclaimer to the various media statements and recent nefarious activities of the purported leaders of CNPP in the Southwest.
We are also aware that one of the leaders of CNPP in Nigeria and the national chairman of the National Action Council, NAC, Primate Olapade Agoro has also dissociated himself from the chicanery of these fraudsters (page 7A, Independent newspapers, March 11, 2009) who are fond of extorting money from unsuspecting people using the CNPP platform.
The activities of these characters will be referred to the EFCC as the leadership of the CNPP can no longer bear the embarrassment and disgrace arising from the shady deals and reckless statements of these political marauders.
We hereby wish to alert and warn the general public especially the political community in the southwest of Nigeria to beware of the antics of these impostors who met in Ibadan last weekend purportedly on the platform of the CNPP. It will be made very clear that they have no connection with the leadership of the CNPP in southwest Nigeria.
Lastly, we wish to state very categorically that any statement that is not officially certified by the National Publicity Secretary of CNPP, Mr Osita Okechukwu, the coordinator of CNPP in southwest, Hon Olawale Okunniyi and the Lagos State Chairman of CNPP should be discountenanced and jettisoned by the media.
Signed
Chief Kunle Adeyoyin
Chairman, CNPP Lagos State
