THE ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ON THE LIFE OF THE RIVERS STATE ACTION CONGRESS SECRETARY- CONFIRMATION OF OUR EARLIER ALERT OF PLOTS TO ELIMINATE TONYE PRINCEWILL AND HIS KEY CAMPAIGN OFFICERS
We are glad to alert the general public of the unsuccessful assassination attempt on the life of Mr Okisi Bobmanual the Action Congress’s Secretary in Rivers State yesterday the 22 nd October, 2007 by 9pm at his private compound situated at No. 2 New Haven Avenue, Agip Estate Extension, Mile 4, Port Harcourt. According to one of the assassins Osigie from Abua/Odual Local Government Area in companion of Mr. Ajieh and three others who were heard shouting at the top of their voices ‘We will eliminate all the enemies of Omehia in Rivers State, Prince Tonye and Amaechi have ran away form the State but we will kill Tonye’s Secretary today and next we will kill his Lawyer, the foolish Osima and his mad dog the Media Chief, Eze!’ We will kill all those disturbing the peace of Omehia’s people oo in Rivers State!
Mr. Okisi Bobmanual hearing all these threats shouted and alerted the entire neighborhood that came out boldly in solidarity with this amiable, great, unsung fighter of democracy and freedom of Rivers State people from the shackles of slavery Odili and his cohorts have foisted on the people of Rivers State these past eight years to frighten out these ungodly and agents of darkness who threatened thereafter ‘We will be back to accomplish our mission!’ These nonentities had before leaving Mr. Bobmanual compounds destroyed his generator to throw the entire compound into darkness in order to accomplish their nefarious act after breaking the window leading to his staircase without putting into consideration the burglary proof at the window of the house that prevented them form gaining access into the main house.
The general public could recall that on 25 th July, 2007 we issued out a press release alerting the public of the phone call we received from one ‘Col’ Jumbo on 19 th July, 2007 who threatened to wipe out Tonye Princewill and all the key officers of his Campaign Organisation for constituting themselves in Jumbo’s words ‘threat to God’s anointed Governor of Rivers- Omehia’. This threat issue was reported to both the Police Commissioner and the Director of the State Security Service in the State and sadly nothing was heard either from the Police Commissioner or the SSS up till date. On 17 th August we took this case further by alerting the Inspector General of Polce, Mr Mike Okiro in a letter personally signed by Engr. Tonye Princewill and funny enough up till date we have not heard from the IGP.
According to our findings geared towards ascertaining our sins to warrant us being eliminated by this deadly clique. They said that we have failed to withdraw our case from the Tribunal thereby threatening the removal of their God sent Governor’, for exposing that only eight people actually wrote the INEC result that made Sir Omehia the Governor of Rivers State; for exposing the N2 Billion Naira personal house Sir Celestine Omehia is building within his first hundred days in office both in Port Harcourt and his country home, for going to Court to challenge the illegal composition of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission; for refusing to accept bribes and appointments from Omehia’s outgoing administration and for not allowing the waterfronts to be demolished without adequate plans to forestall the Rainbow experience in Rivers State. These are the sins we have committed to cause us our lives in Rivers State.
From the attack on our Secretary and subsequent proposed attacks on both on our Legal Personnel Bar Osimah Ginah and Media Chief, Chief Eze C. Eze the die is now cast and the public should note that we are not afraid to die tin our struggle and resolve to salvage our people from the deadly enslavement Omehia and his fading clique has foisted on us as a State.
Let us reiterate for avoidance of doubt once again that we are not afraid of those that can kill the body without destroying the soul. But should anything happens to any of us the people of Rivers State should know those to hold responsible and that may be the beginning of a war without end started by this evil minded group.
This case has being formally lodged before the Police Station at the Agip Road, Mile 4, Port Harcourt and we hope before the end of the day to make a formal report once again to the Police Commissioner as he has refused to provide us with any security after alerting him of the sinister plot of Omehia and his peopsle to wipe us out from the surface of the earth probably the PC is waiting for us to be killed first and attract headline news before steps will be taken to stop this deadly clique from harming us.
