True Face of Delta Web Portal
Given the repeated challenges faced by the .ng country level domain, the
Ministry of Information has concluded efforts to make the True Face of
Delta web site available via another channel: www.truefaceofdelta.org ,
while waiting for the .ng tld to become stable again.
The True Face of Delta is the official publicity initiative of the Delta
State Government conceived and operated by the Ministry of Information.
The official unveiling of the initiative was performed by His Excellency,
Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, Governor of Delta at a grand media event held
on August 27, 2007 in Asaba.
www.truefaceofdelta.gov.ng was consequently activated to provide the
global online community, including Deltans in the Diaspora and
international investors, the opportunity to be abreast and participate in
the initiative. The site has continuously attracted interest, traffic, and
interactive participation from visitors around the world, making it one of
the most visited government web portal in the country. The creation of www.truefaceofdelta.org as an alternate platform is only a rapid response
to the frequent down-times currently being witnessed on the .ng tld.
Deltans, the general public and the global online community are therefore
invited to visit www.truefaceofdelta.org for details on progress from
Delta State and be able to interact and communicate with the state
government and its key functionaries through Discussion Boards,
Chat-rooms, and the Blog functions of the web site.
