PRESS RELEASE BY NATIONAL EXCO HIGGI DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION .

THE ATTENTION OF NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL OF KAMWE–HIGGI DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION HAS BEEN DRAWN to so–called “newly” elected Executives parading themselves across the country in major towns like Kaduna, Abuja, Maiduguri, Lagos and Jos.

The National Executive council under the leadership of Dr. Ayuba Y. Zira as president, Mr. Zira Musa, vice- president, Mr. Sini Titsi, secretary- General, Mr. John Tikuri, Assistant- secretary General, Mr. Daniel Team –Treasurer, Mr. Paul Wulenda, financial secretary and Mr. Nuhu Adamu Kamale, who were elected some few years is the only legal recognized National Executive council.

For the avoidance of doubt, apart from the names mentioned, no entity in whatever is recognized as “Newly” elected by the ethnic group Higgi which is well-spread in Adamawa State, dominant in Michika Local Government Area of the State and are virtually found in almost all cities of Nigeria.

As the present democratic Government in Nigeria has harped on due process and rule of law, any member of the Higgi Development Association, dully registered in any city, in any town and in any place who is ambitions and wants to contest any post at all must follow due process.

But some officers, which we have stumbled on their letterheads and have been seen to have been criss-crossing the country and parading themselves under one retried warrant officer Daniel Kumangar as “President” of Kamwe Higgi Development Association, whose origin is suspect and corrupted Margi is not acceptable at all, not only to the current National Executive, but true Higgi in general.

Therefore, the general public is alerted that whosoever transacts any business with retired warrant officer Daniel Kumangar as “President” Yakubu Inuwa as “Vice President”, Vanduna Tumba Ngidda as Secretary-General, Kaman Yakubu as Assistant Secretary, David Taru as Treasurer and Ayuba Taru as Financial Secretary does so at his/her own risk.

By this Press Release the security agents comprising the State Security Service, the Nigeria Police Force and other related agents have been urgently informed on the so-called “Newly” elected, or nominated, or selected are disclaimers.

By this Press Statement also all Higgi Nationwide are informed there will be a general meeting to be held in Yola on 20 th June, 2009 to take stock of the achievements of the current Exco and to brainstorm on the construction of the National Secretariat that has been on a drawing board.

Additionally, it will discuss the population problem that has arisen from the last population census that took place.

Finally, all other shady characters that are not bonafide Higgi are warned to stay clear out of the affairs of the Higgi people.

Those parading themselves as the “New” Exco are not pure Higgi as such should be discountenanced.
