Nigeria Media Friends set to honour Editors, others
All is now set for the second edition of the Nigeria Media Friends Annual reception and dinner.
According to Chris Nwandu the President of Nigeria Media Friends, this year’s edition will take place on Saturday 22 nd August 2009 at the Lagos Sheraton and Towers at 4 pm.
The event which made its debut last year was conceived to identify, celebrate and honour members of the pen profession who have distinguished themselves in a profession that is good at celebrating others but forgets to celebrate its own.
It will also as act as a forum for social interaction amongst members of the pen profession in Nigeria.
It will be attended by members of the pen profession and their friends in the corporate world.
Those to be honored this year are, Simon Kolawole, Editor Thisday, Mideno Bayagbon,Editor Vanguard, Mrs. Funke Egbemode, Editor, Sunday Sun, Casmir Igbokwe,Editor Sunday Punch, Loye Amzat, Editor in Chief , News of the People ,Bola Onanuga, MD,National Mirror Newspaper
Others are Chris Ubosi CEO, Classic FM and Beats FM Lagos, Ademola Adeoye of NTA.,Vin Martin Ilo SA, media to Enugu State Governor and Idowu Ajanaku, SSA Public Affairs to Lagos State Governor .
The first edition of the event was held at the same venue last year to honour Messrs Steve Nwosu, Editor Sun, Steve Ayorinde, Editor Punch and Olumide Iyanda, Editor Saturday Independent.
The event been powered by Ikenga Entertainment Inc will feature an evening of music, comedy as well as a lecture to be delivered by a distinguished and respected media practitioner.
