Lagos AC calls on security agencies to probe Ekiti PDP

The Lagos State chapter of the Action Congress has lampooned the Ekiti PDP and the state government  for raising false security alarm with the intent on diverting attention to its impending fall. The party therefore charged the security agencies to get at the root of what it calls the Ekiti PDP gimmick as allowing the party to get away with that orchestrated hoax will introduce a dangerous dimension to politics in Nigeria.

In a release in Lagos, signed by the party’s Lagos State Publicity Secretary, Joe Igbokwe, Lagos AC says it fears that the PDP is planning something sinister in Ekiti with this deliberate mischief and it therefore charged the police and other security agencies to insist on full disclosure from the person responsible for this latest antic. It says that the lives and security of AC officials in Ekiti State must be well protected against the rampaging nest of killers who will stop at nothing to force through the electoral roguery they are presently eating from.

“Ekiti PDP and its deputy governor, who is a deputy governor without winning any election, are just being clever by half. In his rabid outpouring, it is easy to see a sinking boat, a loose cannon that is ever ready to provoke an insurrection so as to remain in power. With its bevy of desperadoes who cared no hoot spawning the kind of electoral fraud they are eating from, we believe there is nothing beyond the cheap jobbers that run Ekiti PDP presently.

“With its notorious attitude to power, we fear that the nest of killers is poised for a blood bath by that wild and reckless allegation and we urge the security agencies to invite the purveyor of this latest propaganda to throw more light into his allegation. We fear that this conscienceless cabal is on the verge of employing desperate options to ensure they hang onto a stolen mandate. We are suspecting that something sinister is about happening in Ekiti State so as to divert attention from the impending rustication of the PDP from the seat of power. We challenge the security agencies to keep a close watch on the Ekiti PDP and the state government, especially now they have resorted to so many desperate antics instead of defending the forged votes with which it is presiding over Ekiti State.

“It is good that all Nigerians know that the PDP is a usurper in Ekiti State and this fact was well proved when the party has to forge results from Ido Osi in April this year so as to cart away the mandate the Ekiti people freely gave to Dr. Fayemi and the AC. While the PDP had adopted every available prank to buy time at the election petition tribunal, we see their latest antic as far too much for a sinking party that is eager to continue wielding an illegitimate mandate. We insist that they must make full disclosure on this latest antic and we call on the police and other security agencies to treat this seriously”.
