Federation Of Anambra Youths (FAY) ...JUDGEMENT REVERSAL

January 23 , 2007

PRESS RELEASE

FEDERATION OF ANAMBRA YOUTHS (FAY) ...JUDGEMENT REVERSAL
Plot 7 Presidency Street Gbasango, Kubwa, Abuja.
08056031187

As the Supreme Court sets to hear the application brought by Andy Ubah, on his removal on July 14, 2007; on the 29th of January 2008, Federation of Anambra Youths is in solidarity with his just cause of seeking judgement reversal.

Thankfully, the Apex Court is now aware of the undemocratic, illegal and corrupt tactics employed by Governor Peter Obi and his confederates in their bid to obtain justice. The reprehensible subversion of Appeal Court act, and due process as seen in the alleged inducement of one Ifeanyi Okonkwo, and his subsequent withdrawal from the case instituted by Governor Peter Obi, has clearly shown that Supreme Court was conned by Peter Obi and his confederate over the interpretation of section 180 (2) of Nigerian Constitution.

Having shown great respect for rule of law by vacating his governorship seat upon the Supreme Court judgement on the 14th of July 2007, Andy Ubah has succeeded in proving that he is a man of peace, great democrat and lover of rule of law. Many had expected him to call up his army of supporters in Anambra State for demonstration against the Supreme Court judgement, this he did not embark upon, and rather, he remained calm in the face of the injustice meted out to him; a great feat associated only to the statesmen.

With the Supreme Court already aware of the corrupt practice on the side Governor Peter Obi, leading to the judgement it delivered on July 14, 2007, surely, at the end of the day, Andy Ubah will laugh last.

Long live Andy Ubah
Long live Anambra State
Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria

Signed:
Emeka Oraetoka
President General,
Federation of Anambra Youth (FAY)
