Re-branding Nigeria Campaign Gets a New Website
The Re-branding Nigeria Campaign was boosted yesterday with the donation of a brand new website to support the initiative. The website, www.ournigeriarebrands.net which was initiated and developed by Crownsworth Resource Solutions, a legal and IT consultancy firm in Lagos, was presented to the Honourable Minister of Information and Communications, Prof. Dora Akunyili at her office in Abuja.
The MD/CEO of Crownsworth, Mr Olufunmilade Adeyemi said his company built the website at its own expense to “support the Re-branding Nigeria Campaign and it is our own contribution to the success of the Ministry’s programmes”. He explained that the website is content-driven and a one-stop shop to publicise the activities of the Ministry and “provide full details on the re-branding initiative.”
The Honourable Minister commended the spirit of volunteerism demonstrated by Mr. Adeyemi and enjoined other youths to emulate his patriotism. According to her, Mr Adeyemi’s action has demonstrated that Nigerians are indeed good people.
She explained that the action of Mr. Adeyemi was in line with her recent call for Nigerians to imbibe the culture of giving, and to ask the sort of questions that the Late American President John Kennedy made famous, “ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country”.
She recalled that at the inception of the Rebranding Nigeria Project some Nigerians had approached the Ministry with different proposals , including the construction of a website. She expressed disappointment that many of the proposals were motivated by the desire to make excessive profit, and not passion for Nigeria. She added that the donation of a website by an enterprising and young Nigerian is a culture worthy of emulation by others.
The Honourable Minster further praised Mr Adeyemi, telling him that he had written his name in gold. “ it is not only us at the Ministry that appreciates you, it is the whole nation and even the children unborn”, she said.
