Yar’ adua Abscence: Mega Party ready to provide alternative leadership

Mega Summit Movement, MSM has taken a swipe at the needless constitutional crisis foisted on the nation by a ruling cabal in the Nigerian presidency using its PDP connection to rule Nigeria immorally following the health incapacitation of President Umoru Yar’adua.

The movement lamented that the same ruling cabal, despite President Yar’adua  serious health challenge; as clearly demonstrated during his 2007 electioneering campaign, when he collapsed twice,  still wickedly went ahead to foist him on the nation, without the votes of Nigerians.

"We observe that President Umoru Musa Yar’ adua is unable to govern the nation  any longer due to critical health challenge that has kept him incommunicado for 49 days now. However, due to the bankruptcy of the PDP regime, his Vice President, Jonathan, who is constitutionally supposed to act in his absence, has been prevented from acting for him by a tiny but powerful cabal, bent on hanging to power unlawfully to pursue exploitative agenda"

MSM also puts it on record that President Umoru Musa Yar’adua  in 2007 joined the whole world to condemn the 2007 elections, which brought him to power, as flawed and the worst ever in the history of elections in Nigeria. Hence the setting up of Justice Muhammed Uwais Electoral Reform Committee, whose report has since been thrown, by the same regime, into the dustbin of history.

MSM warns that the danger of being passive in the face of this sacrilege is that the nation will be engulfed with full blown chaos and hardship, which may form the basis for another opportunistic gang to throw the country back into the dark ages of draconian rule.

MSM agrees with other Nigerians, who say there is no government in Nigeria today and the PDP government is setting a bad precedent. "We  therefore,charge all democrats and patriots to urgently team up with Mega Movement to perform the historic duty of providing alternative  leadership for the country at this critical point of our nationhood. Nigerians should also be resolved to tighten their belts and urgently organise for a radical change to stem the chaotic trend foisted on us by the vindictive cartel of power hijackers in PDP, which is determined to punish them for not voting for PDP in 2007"

"We also note that already the hardship in the country is unbearable as there are no Light, Petrol, Water, Food, viable Jobs, good roads and transportation system etc. There is in fact no leadership and government in Nigeria today as a dangerous vacuum has now been created in the Nigerian government"

In the light of the above, MSM makes bold to assert that the much awaited peoples’ mega party will be launched very soon to pick up the challenge of the much desired alternative leadership for the nation. MSM is confident to announce that most of the work leading to the formation of the party has been done. The movement only requires a meeting of its stakeholders in Abuja this month to announce the new party.
