Lagos AC Commends Members of the Rapid Response Squad.

The Lagos State chapter of the Action Congress has commended the members of the state security outfit, the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) for the devoted way they have been discharging their duties and the onerous task of securing Lagos for all. The party urges the outfit to remain focused and committed to the well being of Lagosians as its efforts are being appreciated by the government and people of Lagos state.

In a release in Lagos, signed by the Lagos State Publicity Secretary of the AC, Joe Igbokwe, the party says it is encouraged by the sense of devotedness and duty with which the RRS tackled with security breaches in Lagos. It assures them of the maximum support of the government and people of Lagos State in the discharge of their duties.

“We want to note the tremendous contribution of the men and women of the RRS in the hard task of ridding Lagos of crime. We want to put on record that these are people that remain awake to guard Lagosians as they sleep. We want to record their thankless contribution to the new Lagos and securing it for us all. We want to let them know that their efforts are not going to be in vain.

“Lagoisians   have noted the presence of men and women of the Rapid response Squad in all streets and crannies of Lagos and their prompt response to security challenges on short notice. We want to state that these men and women compliment the monumental investment the present regime has made to secure the lives and properties of Lagosians and we want to thank them for their steadfastness and commitment to duty.

“Lagos AC is happy that these men and women have shown great faith in the governance of Lagos and the belief of the present government on the paramount importance of the lives and properties of Lagosians. We are pleased that through rain and sunshine, they have manned their duty posts and ensured that crime is drastically reduced in Lagos such that Lagos is today the safest state in Nigeria.

“While we commend the men and women of RRS, we want to urge them not to relent and assure them that a great reward awaits them in form of the improved conditions of service, which the present Fashola government has made the bedrock of his policies. We want to let them know that their sacrifice is well noted and would be eventually rewarded. We urge them not to relent and rest on their oars but to continue to deal decisively with any security challenges against the state. Once more, we appreciate the gallant men and women of the RRS and we charge them to continue working for the interests of Lagosians.”
