Lagos AC Salutes Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu At 58

The Lagos State chapter of the Action Congress has saluted the proven leader of men, the political tactician, the lodestar and one of the most ardent progressives in the history of the country, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he turns 58. The party, while wishing him many more fruitful years of service to the country, urges him to ensure that the lofty dream he nurtured for Lagos is sustained and the state attains the enviable status it now occupies in Nigeria.

In a release in Lagos, signed by the Lagos State Publicity Secretary of the AC, Joe Igbokwe, Lagos AC says that men like Tinubu come once in a generation and as an urgent need arises in the lives of nations. It says that Tinubu’s great role in freeing the country from brutal civilian dictatorship is epochal and will never be erased by the desperate efforts of revisionists and reactionaries that have flowered in the last ten years of dysfunctional democracy.

“Tinubu is a great leader on whom it has fallen to lead the progressive fight back in the present dispensation where reactionaries and renegades have succeeded in fraudulently cornering the space for their selfish interests. He remains one of the greatest political tacticians that have trod the shores of this country and remains increasingly relevant as the forces of darkness and decay threaten to over run this country.

“Tinubu is a leader with a deep pouch of empathy for the common man, an enigma that lives and works for the people, a courageous fighter for the rights of the people, a true federalist, a believer in constitutional democracy, a fearless advocate for the masses and a defender of the defenceless. He is thorough democrat and a diehard progressive who can stake all to secure a free state for Nigerian masses.

“Lagos AC is proud that Tinubu played a pivotal role in securing Lagos against the rampaging buccaneers of power, who would do anything to conscript the entire country into one vast colony they can prey at ease. It is to the credit of Tinubu’s political dexterity that he was succeeded by one of the greatest achievers in the history of democracy in Nigeria and the symbiotic union between the two has produced the masterpiece, which Lagos has become in the face of the huge decay the country presently goes through. No wonder, Lagos is now a reference point in Nigeria. We charge Tinubu to still employ his vast experience and tact to ensure the retrogressive forces are not allowed any footage in Lagos, either in 2011 or forever. We want the great Asiwaju, as leader of our great party, to quickly resolve any outstanding issues and place the party on very strong footing for the tasks ahead.
