Provost, Dr. Lukman Adeola Kiadese and they all passed a vote of no
confidence on him, as he has started lobbying for the second term as
Colleges’ Provost, urging the government-led by Dapo Abiodun to turn
down the aspiration.
The Staff Union of the institution and management-led by the Provost,
have been on warpath in the last three years over issue bordering on
what they termed as non-payment of their salaries, poor welfare
conditions, harassment of both Academic and Non-Academic staff and
mismanagement of College’s funds among other issues.
Addressing journalists at a press briefing, held in Ijebu-Ode, the
Chairman of CAS, Mr. Ade Balogun said that the Provost could not pass an
integrity test if conducted on him, noting that he has been lobbying
from politicians and political appointees to be appointed for the second
term as Provost of the College.
Balogun alleged that the Provost, Kiadese spent close to N70Million on
Sallah for political appointees, buying them rams and other gift items
to celebrate Eid-El-Kabir, saying that Provost was a prodigal son, which
deserves no second term in office.
He said that it was wrong and unacceptable by the entire staff of the
institution, for the Provost to have spent such a huge amount of money
for Sallah, while the salaries and other benefits of the College’s staff
could be met by the institution’s management.
He added that the State Government has refused to promote them in the
last seven years, noting that TASCE Governing Council was only after
imposing Kiadese on them as second term Provost of the College.
According to him, “Dapo Abiodun-led administration has promised to put
an end to TASCE problem and restore her lost during 2019 electioneering
period, but to our surprise, nothing tangible has been done as the
administration continues the payment of half salary to the staff since
May 2019 till date”.
He said that the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has not paid any amount
out of over 60 (sixty) months salary arrears owned TASCE Staff by his
predecessors, noting that they were not paying June and July salaries.
He said that the present administration of Dapo Abiodun government now
owing them 5 (five) months salaries in his 14-month old administration,
saying that it was contrary to the promises made by the governor.
He further alleged that Dr. Lukman Adeola Kiadese never qualified for an
appointment right from day one, noting that he has once heavily indicted
for financial recklessness, administrative ineptitude among others.
Meanwhile, all calls and text messages put across to the Provost of the
College, Dr. Lukman Adeola Kiadese, to react to all these allegations
were proved abortive, as he didn’t pick calls nor response to the text
messages, as at filling this report.
