Suspected Boko Haram members has shot dead four persons who were returning from a condolence visit in Dikwa town, Borno State.
The Chairman of Borno state Schools Feeding Committee Tijjani Mafi , a retired Civil servant and two others were killed by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members, Borno state Education Commissioner, Mallam Inuwa Kubo confirmed.
The gunmen were said to have escaped with a Toyata hillux four wheel drive belonging to the state government.
The state governor,Alhaji Kashim Shettima who expressed shock and sadness with the development, led government officials to witness the burial of the deceased in Maiduguri.
A Police Chief in Borno State Yuguda Abdullahi confirmed the incident on phone but decline to give details.
