The All Progressives Congress (APC) has summoned its top decision-making organs, the National Caucus and the National Executive Committee (NEC) to a back-to-back meetings on 15 and 16 December 2025 at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
In a formal notice, signed by National Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru and posted on the party’s website on Wednesday, the notice reads,
“The National Caucus shall meet on Monday, 15th December 2025 by 6:00 p.m. while the National Executive Committee meeting holds on Tuesday, 16th December 2025 by 12:00 noon.
“All members are by this invitation directed to Take Notice in strict compliance with the provisions of the APC Constitution,” the notice stated.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the announcement, Senator Basiru described the meetings as “a strategic reset.”
“In the life of every ruling party, there comes a moment to take stock, recalibrate and re-energise and face the future with one voice. The moment is now. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has personally directed that these meetings must hold before the year runs out because Nigerians deserve a stronger, more united APC that delivers on the Renewed Hope agenda,” he said.
A member of the APC National Working Committee, who pleaded anonymity because he is not authorised to speak ahead of the meetings, revealed that the agenda is loaded:
“Expect frank discussions on the economy, insecurity, party funding, the rising opposition coalition in ADC, and possible sanctions for members who have become serial defectors. The President wants to hear directly from governors, Senate President, Speaker, and former leaders. Nothing is off the table.”
