PDP To Expel Oyinlola, Baraje, Jaja Others

by Our Reporter

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is set to expel former Osun State
Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, former Acting National Chairman,
Alhaji Kawu Baraje, former Deputy National Chairman, Dr. Sam Sam Jaja who
are arrow-heads of the rebel group within the PDP.

The PDP Monday announced the suspension of Prince Oyinlola who was on last
week re-instated as National Secretary of the party through a  judgment by
an Appeal Court sitting in Abuja.

Sources told pointblanknews.com that besides parading themselves as
leaders of the rebel group, they have already picked up membership cards
of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

The source who would not want to be named particularly mentioned Oyinlola
as a card carrying member of the APC.

“We have it on good authority that he has already picked up membership
card of the APC. You cannot be a member of the APC and be a National
Secretary of the PDP, so the best thing is to first suspend them and
thereafter expel them,” a source within the PDP told pointblank news.com.

However, Oyinlola according to the leadership of the party would face the
Disciplinary Committee chaired by Second Republic Minister of Transport,
Alhaji Umaru Dikko, just as the party said it has not received the
Wednesday Court of Appeal judgment which ordered his return to the
National secretariat as the scribe of the party.

Also suspended with Oyinlola was the Chairman of the splitter group of the
party and former Acting National Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu  Baraje;
the group’s Deputy Chairman, Dr. Sam Sam Jaja;  and the National
Vice-Chairman of the PDP, North West, Ambassador Ibrahim Kazaure
