Some Boko haram suspects, yesterday night killed a Banker with First City Monument Bank (FCMB), and Injured his friend in Gwange ward of Maiduguri, Borno State.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Borno State Gideon Jibrin confirmed the incident on phone today from Maiduguri, Borno State capital.
” I can confirm to you that some suspected Boko Haram terrorist shot and killed a banker in front of his house is Gwange ward of Maiduguri yesterday night.” Jibrin said.
The Joint Task Force (JTF) has also recovered some arms and ammunitions last night when it carried out a raid on a Boko Haram hide out.
Spokesman of the JTF Colonel Victor Ebhaleme said the operation was successful following a tip off from members of the public.
“We recovered the following items from the Boko Haram hide out, 1,032 rounds of ammunition,4 AK47 rifles, 1 GPMG, 9 RPG BOmbs and 11 chargers 3 AK47 Magazines and 3 Wooden Butts.” Ebhaleme said while briefing journalist in Maiduguri.
