Several students are feared dead sequel to series of explosions that rocked a Federal College of Education in Kano few hours ago.
The spokesperson for the military Joint Task Force, Ikechukwu Eze, confirmed the attack. Mr. Eze said government troops have arrived at the school, but did not give further details.
Pointblanknews.com correspondent in Kano reports that several explosions occurred at the school, followed by sporadic gunshots.
It was learnt that armed men suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents, invaded the institution after killing a security personnel at the gate.
The attackers later threw improvised explosives at students and shot those who tried to escape, a witness said.
